Position Summary:  

 

        Present a positive first impression of The Wine Lab’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards.

        Ability to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive.

 

Key Responsibilities: Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:  

 

        Welcome incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus and inform them on daily/weekly specials.

        Inform Guests of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.

        Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.

        Manage the flow of Guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate.

        Tend to special customer needs and requests.

        Observant to Guests' needs throughout the dining experience to ensure they receive premium service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).

        Deliver and exceed sales target.

        Collaborate with a team of waiters and hosts to provide excellent customer service.

        Engage, retain, and Upsell customers by delivering top-notch customer experiences.

        Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policies.

        Maintain composure under periods of high stress and high traffic.

        Handle other such duties as may be deemed fit in the execution of your duties or as assigned by management.

 

 

Requirements:

 

        Education, Qualification & Experiences

 

   A BSc. Degree in Hotel or Restaurant Management, Commerce, or any related courses.

   Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the same role with an up-scale (4/5 Star) hospitality environment.

   Hospitality/ customer service is a plus.

   Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress o Understanding of restaurant etiquette o Familiarity with health and safety regulations o Experience in managing reservations o Demonstrable customer-service skills.

   Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).

   Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.

   Availability to work in shifts as needed.

   Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
