Ability
to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or
intrusive.
Key Responsibilities: Core responsibilities will include but are not
limited to the following:
•
Welcome
incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact;
escort them to assigned dining area; present menus and inform them on
daily/weekly specials.
•
Inform
Guests of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth
handoff to the service staff.
•
Answer
incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
•
Manage
the flow of Guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times
to incoming Guests if appropriate.
•
Tend
to special customer needs and requests.
•
Observant
to Guests' needs throughout the dining experience to ensure they receive premium
service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and
ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).
•
Deliver
and exceed sales target.
•
Collaborate
with a team of waiters and hosts to provide excellent customer service.
•
Engage,
retain, and Upsell customers by delivering top-notch customer experiences.
•
Protect
establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol
control policies.
•
Maintain
composure under periods of high stress and high traffic.
•
Handle
other such duties as may be deemed fit in the execution of your duties or as
assigned by management.
Requirements:
•
Education, Qualification & Experiences
•
A
BSc. Degree in Hotel or Restaurant Management, Commerce, or any related courses.
•
Minimum
of 2-3 years experience in the same role with an up-scale (4/5 Star) hospitality environment.
•
Hospitality/
customer service is a plus.
•
Previous
work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress o
Understanding of restaurant
etiquette o Familiarity with health and
safety regulations o Experience in managing reservations o
Demonstrable
customer-service skills.
•
Excellent
communication skills (via phone and in-person).
•
Strong
organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar
area.
•
Availability
to work in shifts as needed.
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
