A vibrant company based in Canada is looking for a
Product Designer to work remotely in Nigeria.
As a Product
Designer, you will partner with our existing Product Designer to design the
user interfaces and experiences of modern enterprise web applications. You
understand that design isn’t just about making things look nice but creative
problem-solving through ideation, experimentation, validation, and, eventually,
production usage.
Our Product Team is a modern, fast-moving group of ambitious problem-solvers who are
passionate about great tech. We aim to define, design, and collaborate to bring
to life our amazing applications. We do not mean to boast, but we play a huge
part in the innovation of our platform.
Your
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Design
Execution (70%)
Measures of
success: Use of prototypes to validate and align designs;
fulfillment of design criteria and deliverables; tracking of feature validation
and adoption post-delivery; cohesive alignment between all apps; clear support
channel for application design.
1. Translate
problem statements into well thought out prototypes that support user-behavior
and application scenarios.
2. Develop
and iterate designs during the feature lifecycle to meet and exceed
requirements.
3. Validate
feature designs through testing and data, post-development.
4. Drive an
intuitive UX and UI as new features are implemented into existing
applications.
5. Identify
gaps, iterates, and expand existing applications/platform to drive a cohesive,
intuitive, best in industry experience across all our applications.
Design
Strategy (15%)
Measures
of success: Consistent interaction with customers,
ownership of research app, support process creation, and maturation establish a
continuously nurtured design paradigm.
1.
Collaborate with the internal stakeholders and customers to strategically
develop designs that will enable unique product features to be successful.
2. Deeply
understands the subject matter and problems we're solving for our customers.
3. Build and
mature our design processes and methodologies that drive cohesive
feature and application development.
4. Contribute
to a design paradigm/library best practices for all apps to follow while
iterating on application changes.
5. Is an
advocate for the end-user that drives change to design and interaction with our
products.
6. Lead and
facilitate co-creation workshops with customers and stakeholders.
Research
and Exploration (15%)
Measures of success: Use of practical and exploratory approaches to ensure design outputs align with the subject matter; executes A|B testing for all features; use of data to rationalize and communicate development, final design outputs, and other decisions.
1. Creates information architecture, storyboards
and document user flows.
2. Design and
develop high to low-fidelity wireframes and functional prototypes.
3. Take an iterative approach to design based on user feedback and peer review.
4. Combine
usability testing and application telemetry to refine the overall user
experience.
5. Work
closely with the product and development teams to ensure design meets function.
6. Present
and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to design peers and
executive-level stakeholders.
7.
Participates in regular design team reviews.
People who
Excel (Your Background):
1.
Experience in B2B UI/Product design (3-5 years).
2. You’ve
solved complex design problems, testing and validating design work.
3. You’ve
worked with mobile and responsive designs.
4. You’ve designed enterprise application using Sketch, Balsamiq, Invision, or comparable wireframing and prototyping tools.
