1.    News/Sports Writer:

We will not take it!  We require someone who is focused primarily on news that is relevant to the daily life of Nigerians.  Naturally inquisitive and the ability to PUSH UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS, we will help you build your network to get access to critical decision makers and help you understand how to best position your stories to your larger audience.

The news/sports writers are responsible for providing standard content, such as news reports, reviews and features. In comparison with a newspaper journalist or reporter which requires traveling, a staff writer for a website is an office-based role.

2.    Digital Marketing, Community & Social Media Manager:

This social media thing you young people are always talking about!  Perhaps the most important job on the team is the Digital Marketing, Community &Social Media Manager.  It will be your responsibility to ensure that our message gets heard by hundreds of millions of Nigerians around the world and perhaps more importantly, understand what they are saying back.  You will need to drill for insights that can ultimately help us make better content, products and services.  You will build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.  You will generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action as well as set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.

You will moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
